In Greene County district court Nyadhour Riek Deng, 24, of San Diego, CA, was granted a deferred judgment after he pleaded guilty to charges of possession of controlled substance accommodation offense and prohibited acts, amended from unlawful manufacture, deliver or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana- not more than 50 kg, and failure to affix a tax stamp. He was placed on probation to the Iowa Department of Correctional Services for two years on the possession charge, and he must pay a civil penalty of $315. He must pay a civil penalty of $625 on the prohibited acts charge. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. Court costs were $100. Michael Allen Olson, 60, of Jefferson pleaded not guilty March 24 to a charge of burglary- second degree. A trial was set for June 14.
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant March 23 that Brian J. Clausen, 44, of Grand Junction is charged with domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness. The warrant was issued 10/31/21.
